A painting by Paul Cézanne stolen from a museum in Zurich was found last Wednesday in Belgrade. Serbian television channel RTS announced this, referring to a police source. The painting was discovered during a special operation of the Serbian police. Three people were already arrested in Belgrade and Čačak, a fourth suspect is still at large. The raid was prepared in June 2010 in cooperation with the Swiss police. Television channel RTS did not reveal the title of the painting, but said that its value was estimated at 100 million euro. This is obviously the ‘Boy in a Red Waistcoat’, stolen in 2008 at the Zurich Foundation EG Bührle Collection. Another painting by Cézanne that is currently looked for is called ‘View of Auvers-sur-Oise’. This landscape was stolen in 1999 from a museum in Oxford. ©RIA
